Gerry Norquist

Director of Golf

A professional golfer since 1989, Gerry Norquist has played the Asian Tour, European PGA Tour, Japan Tour, Canadian Tour, South American Tour and many international events around the world. A winner of thirteen international tournaments, including the Malaysian Open twice, Gerry brings the knowledge and experience of a veteran tour pro. His career in Asia included roles as a Player Representative to the Board of Directors on both the Asian PGA and Asian Tours and he was one of the four original founding members of the Asian Tour, formed in 2004.

In October 2006, Gerry cut short his playing career to join the Asian Tour Executive Management team as Sr. Vice President. During his tenure, the Asian Tour grew from 26 to 30 events and prize money increased from $26 million to $40 million dollars. He was instrumental in bringing three new Tour Partners to the tour and developing relationships resulting in increased prize money and number of tour events. Gerry also played a major role with the Tour at meetings of the International Federation of PGA Tours as lead spokesperson, often liaising with key representatives of the other member Federations. He was sought after for guidance from the players and lead nearly all of the Players’ Meetings the Tour held during his two plus years with the organization.

Gerry helped form Pro Player International Management and Consulting Ltd., in November, 2008. PPI is active in player representation, event management and a wide array of consulting throughout the golf industry. Clients served by PPI include Amata Spring Country Club and the Thailand Golf Association, the latter leading Gerry to become Thailand National Golf Coach for two years. Gerry also serves on the Board of Directors for The First Tee of Singapore, an organization focused on introducing junior golfers to the game through emphasis on the core values associated with golf.
